LocalLy ("we", "us", or "our") operates the LocalLy mobile application (the "App"), a location-based reverse marketplace that connects buyers with nearby local stores. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use this information to create and identify your account within the App.

Location Data

We collect your device's GPS coordinates when you create a product request (buyers) or register a store (sellers). Location is used solely to match buyers with nearby stores within the search radius you choose. We do not track your location continuously or in the background.

Store Information (Sellers)

When registering a store, you provide:

• Store name
• Store address (converted to geographic coordinates)
• Phone number
• Product categories

Your store's name, address, and phone number are shared with buyers when they view offers submitted by your store. This is a core part of the service.

Product Requests (Buyers)

When creating a request, you provide:

• Product title and description
• Maximum price you are willing to pay
• Product category
• Search location and radius

This information is shared with stores that match your category and location so they can submit competing offers.

Price Offers (Sellers)

Sellers submit a price and optional notes per request. This data is shared with the buyer who posted the request.

Push Notification Token

We store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token associated with your account in order to send you push notifications (e.g., new offers on your request, new requests matching your store). The token is deleted from our servers when you sign out.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the LocalLy marketplace service
• To match buyers' requests with nearby stores based on location and category
• To display store contact details to buyers when they view offers
• To send push notifications about new requests, offers, and store status updates
• To authenticate you securely via Google Sign-In

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Information is shared only in the following circumstances:

• Between users: Buyers can see store names, addresses, and phone numbers when viewing offers. Sellers can see the details of product requests that match their store.
• Service providers: We use the third-party services listed in Section 4 to operate the App. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In – for authentication. Google Privacy Policy
• Supabase – our backend database and authentication provider. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) – for push notifications. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Places API – for address search and autocomplete. Google Privacy Policy

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and content (requests, offers, store information) for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.

Your FCM device token is removed from our servers immediately upon sign-out.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. All data is stored using Supabase, which applies industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

LocalLy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Withdraw consent to location access at any time via your device settings
• Opt out of push notifications via your device settings

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
